“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” – Steve Jobs

I love this time of the year.
As the winter chill makes way to the warm spring sunshine, I always have a feeling of renewal and another fresh start.
I have always made it a point to buy and plant a few new shrubs and some flowers. It’s my way of planting and nurturing roots, then watching them flourish and contribute to the beauty of my surroundings.
I also enjoy re-purposing and restoring various items and seeing what they can turn out to be.

Currently, I am working on two projects that I am enjoying very much.
The first involved taking an old wood pallet apart, saving, and cleaning all the wood.
So far, I have created two beautiful outdoor wooden trays. Next, I am working on a bench.

Another project involves restoring three old metal chairs, which were destined for garbage pickup before I rescued them. I sanded down the wood backs and refinished them. Then I repainted the metal.
The final touch will be the addition of brand-new seat cushions.

So, what is the common thread to all these stories? How do they relate to the way my business, Action Staffing, and I operate? What lessons have I learned that possibly you, my reader, can benefit from?

It is this:
1. No matter where we are in life and what circumstances we are in, a dark cloudy day will eventually give way to bright sunshine. No matter what, my weather is always set to “Sunny”.
2. There is never a limit to how many “New Beginnings” you can create and experience. Find ways to “plant a new shrub or new flower” any time you need to hit the reset button. There is no seasonality to this kind of planting. No water or soil necessary, just your desire to start anew!
3. Like restoring an item that was about to be discarded and forgotten, choose to change the path and pattern. Disrupt the process and bring that item to a whole new level. Find the diamond in the rough, polish that object, and let the shine come through. Take pride in the image you create, and then do it again, and again.

All these points are metaphors for the way I live my life and the way my company, Action Staffing, operates. Simply put, we look to change lives and bring out the best in people, and we do this every day.

Then, we send them to you!

Action Staffing is committed to finding the right people for you every day.

Take good care, everyone,
Plant a flower.
